Experience it all at Shantytown, where history comes alive in a recreation of an early gold-mining township. Ride the old steam train, explore the Chinese dwellings and climb to the lookout.

'And there's still gold in them thar hills'. Pan for your own gold. You'll be assured of winning a small ‘colour'.

TOUR PRICE:

This tour is NZD $75.00 per adult and $37.50 per child (5 - 12 years) inclusive of GST (see Terms and Conditions re minimum number of passengers and optional extras listed below)

EXTRAS: (you are able to select and book the following extras)

Hotel/Motel accommodation, Greymouth. Bed and Breakfast, Twinshare. $120 per person per night
Single supplement accommodation option (own room with ensuite facilities and breakfast) $95 per person per night.
TranzAlpine train to Christchurch from Greymouth $185 per adult.
TranzAlpine train to Greymouth from Christchurch $185 per adult.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Child Fare: 5 – 12 years inclusive are half price (50% on all tours)
Infant Fare: 0 – 4 years no charge
Minimum Numbers: Most tours require a minimum of 2 adult fares to operate. In cases where a single passenger is the only booking taken for this tour, that booking will be waitlisted until another booking is taken. Should the passenger wish to go on the tour regardless a single supplement equivalent to min. 2 adult fares will apply.

Pickups and Dropoffs: All tours depart from Greymouth with complimentary pick up and drop off at all local accommodation places and Information Centres.

Prices: Prices given include GST and are in NZ$

TranzAlpine/Intercity: All departures and returns are timed to coordinate with the TranzAlpine and Intercity timetables.
